Ph.D. Topic

Cihan's research interests are focused on post-fire erosion processes. A feature of his work is to investigate climate change's perspective effects to increasing wildfire and post-fire erosion rates. The purpose of his research is to compare the techniques monitoring and fallout radionuclides to perform post-fire erosion rates. Monitoring techniques include measures of local topographic changes on surface and gullies using erosion pins and silt fences etc. Fallout radionuclide techniques also include Beryllium-7 and Caesium-137.
